Officially established in 2016, Kona Town Recording has quickly become one of the premier recording studios in Southern California. Nestled near the Pacific Ocean in beautiful Redondo Beach, KTR is home to legendary Hawaiian reggae/rock band, Pepper, and is named after their quintessential album, Kona Town. Since its inception, KTR has had the pleasure of working with dozens of artists spanning a range of genres, whether it be tracking, mixing, and/or mastering.

In the 1990’s and early 2000’s the studio belonged to SoCal punk band, Pennywise, who used it to record their own albums, as well as albums for bands such as Deviates, Cigar, Yellowcard, 1208, 98 Mute, Suicidal Tendencies, and Strung Out. Then from 2005 to 2015 the studio was primarily used as a rehearsal space… until finally Pepper moved-in and turned it into the recording studio it is today.
